Privacy Policy

This page explains the current Carrier Governance Group privacy and data-handling approach for website inquiries and future approved client engagements.

Website information only — preliminary inquiries

CGG is currently introducing its business and is not accepting paid compliance engagements through this website.

About Carrier Governance Group

Carrier Governance Group ("CGG", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent business based in Alberta, Canada. This website currently provides business information and accepts preliminary inquiries from trucking companies. We are not currently accepting paid compliance engagements through the website.

CGG is not a government agency and is not affiliated with FMCSA, DOT, or another regulator. For privacy questions and requests, contact admin@carriergovernancegroup.com.

Information Collected Through Initial Website Intake

If you submit an inquiry, we collect the business and contact details you choose to provide, including contact name, company, business email, optional business phone, country, state or province, approximate truck and driver counts, operations, requested area of interest, reported deadline, general concern, preferred contact method and language.

We also receive the required acknowledgements and response consent, their timestamps or version indicators, submission identifier, and technical information processed by our form provider to operate and protect the form. Please provide only information reasonably necessary for a preliminary conversation.

Information That Should Not Be Submitted Through the Public Form

The inquiry form is not a secure document-upload channel. Do not submit passwords, government credentials, SSN/SIN, driver licence or CDL numbers, medical or Drug & Alcohol information, Clearinghouse or Driver Qualification File records, banking or card details, or other sensitive information.

The form does not offer document uploads.

How Information May Be Used

We use inquiry information to respond to your request, assess preliminary business fit, understand the requested topic and jurisdiction, schedule an introductory conversation if appropriate, keep a record of the request and consent, prevent misuse, and address legal or security obligations.

Submitting an inquiry does not enroll you in a newsletter or grant consent for unrelated promotional emails.

Human Review and Client Status

Submitting a form does not create a client relationship, engagement, compliance determination, or obligation to provide services. Inquiries are reviewed by a person before any further action. CGG is not currently taking on paid compliance work through this website.

Requested Response Consent

We ask for your express permission to contact you about the request you submitted. This is distinct from consent to marketing messages.

Sensitive-Data Acknowledgement

The public form requires a separate acknowledgement that it is not a secure document-upload channel. Do not send sensitive driver records or other restricted information through it.

Marketing Communications

Form submissions do not automatically subscribe you to newsletters, marketing lists, advertising sequences, or unrelated promotional communications. A separate process and appropriate consent would be required if we introduce those activities.

Storage and Access

Website inquiries are submitted through Basin, our third-party form service, and may generate notifications to our business Google Workspace email. Access to submission details is limited to authorized business administrators where supported by the services and our account settings.

Basin and other service providers may process or store information outside Alberta or Canada. Contact us using the address below if you wish to ask about the providers or our practices. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Secure Client Documents

CGG does not currently collect driver qualification files, medical records, Clearinghouse records, or other restricted client documents through this website. Any future client-document collection would require a separately approved process and appropriate safeguards.

General CRM, GitHub, AI and Automation

We do not authorize uploading restricted client source documents, credentials, or sensitive personal records to the public form or public source-code repositories. A website inquiry is not automatically approved as a client engagement or a compliance finding.

Access Controls and Security

We take reasonable organizational and technical measures intended to protect submitted information, including controlled accounts and restricted access where applicable. Electronic transmission and storage involve risks, and no method can be guaranteed fully secure.

Retention and Deletion

We retain inquiry information only as long as reasonably necessary for responding to inquiries, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable legal obligations. Our Basin form submission retention setting is currently configured for 180 days. This setting applies to submissions retained within Basin and does not necessarily control copies in business email, service-provider backups, or records that must reasonably be retained for legitimate business or legal purposes. We review retained information and delete it when no longer reasonably necessary, subject to applicable obligations.

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable legal exceptions and verification requirements.

Analytics, Cookies and Tracking

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only when a visitor accepts optional analytics cookies. GA4 helps us understand website traffic, page views, and certain website interactions. Google may process technical usage information, including device and browser information, approximate location, and online identifiers, subject to its applicable terms and policies. GA4 is not intended to receive the personal details entered into our business inquiry form. Visitors may reject optional analytics or change their choice at any time using the Cookie Settings button. After consent is withdrawn, we stop further GA4 loading and attempt to remove accessible analytics cookies. Data previously collected may remain subject to Google Analytics retention settings and applicable obligations. Google may process information outside Canada. For more information, see Google Privacy Policy. We do not currently use GA4 for personalized advertising.

Cross-Border Processing

CGG is based in Alberta and receives inquiries concerning businesses in Canada and the United States. Providers used for website hosting, form collection, email, and related operations may handle information in jurisdictions outside Canada, including the United States, where different laws may apply.

For information about our service providers or cross-border handling practices, contact admin@carriergovernancegroup.com.

Privacy Questions and Requests

For questions about personal information or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, contact admin@carriergovernancegroup.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Privacy or Data Incidents

If we become aware of a privacy or security incident, we will assess it and take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable obligations, which may include containment, investigation, mitigation and notifications when required.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our business practices, service providers, technologies or applicable requirements. The version displayed on this page is the version currently made available to website visitors.
